2. Summary

  • This website uses no cookies, no analytics or tracking tools and no advertising services.
  • Fonts, icons, scripts and images are delivered exclusively from our own server. When you visit these pages, no data is transferred to third parties such as Google or Facebook.
  • We only process personal data insofar as this is technically necessary to operate the website or you contact us yourself.

3. Hosting and server log files

The website is operated on a server at n@work Internet Informationssysteme GmbH, Hamburg, in a data centre in Germany. Each time a page is accessed, the web server automatically stores the following information in so-called server log files:

  • IP address of the requesting device
  • Date and time of access
  • Requested page or file and HTTP status code
  • Amount of data transferred
  • Referrer URL (the previously visited page), if transmitted by the browser
  • Browser type, browser version and operating system (user agent)

This processing is necessary to deliver the website and to ensure its stability and security, for example to detect and fend off attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in the secure and trouble-free operation of the website. The log files are deleted after 14 days at the latest, unless they are needed longer in individual cases to investigate a security incident. The data is not combined with other data sources.

Insofar as the service provider processes personal data on our behalf, this is done on the basis of a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.

4. Contact by email or phone

If you contact us by email or phone, we process the data you provide (e.g. name, email address, phone number, content of your enquiry) in order to handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR if your enquiry relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in answering your enquiry.

We delete the data once your enquiry has been fully processed and no statutory retention obligations (e.g. under commercial or tax law) prevent this.

Please note that emails are not always encrypted end to end in transit. For confidential content, feel free to ask us for an encrypted channel.

5. Job applications

We process applications that you send us by email (e.g. to ) in order to carry out the application process. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into an employment relationship).

If an employment relationship is established, the data is transferred to the personnel file. Otherwise we delete your application documents no later than six months after the end of the process. Retention until then serves to defend against possible claims, for example under the German General Equal Treatment Act (AGG); the legal basis for this is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. If you would like us to keep your documents longer for future positions, we will ask for your consent beforehand (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR).

6. Cookies and local storage

This website does not set any cookies and does not store or access any information on your device that is not strictly necessary to display the page (§ 25 TDDDG, German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act). A cookie banner is therefore not required.

Our pages contain simple links to other websites, e.g. to partners or technologies we use. These are ordinary hyperlinks, not embedded content or plugins: a connection to the respective provider is only established when you click such a link. The operator of the linked website is responsible for data processing there.

8. TLS encryption

This website is delivered exclusively via an encrypted connection (HTTPS/TLS). You can recognise an encrypted connection by “https://” in your browser’s address bar.

9. Your rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • Right to withdraw consent with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR)

Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): Insofar as we process your data on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, you may object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation.

An informal message to the contact details above is sufficient to exercise your rights.

Right to lodge a complaint: You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is:

Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen
Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf, Germany
www.ldi.nrw.de

10. No automated decision-making

No automated decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR takes place.
